How big are Kapuskasing and Hearst?

Kapuskasing has a population of 8,500 residents and Hearst has 5,000. Both communities are 100Km apart via highway 11. There are other great smaller communities in the surrounding area.


What is there to do in the North?

There are plenty of outdoor activities to do, we have the best snowmobile trail system in Canada, great outdoor living for camping, fishing, hunting.  ATVs are also a big part of our lifestyle with an abundance of trails available.  Hockey is a big part of our communities so we invite to come out and support either the Junior A’s Lumberjack in Hearst of the U18 Kap Flyers.

Do I need to live in Kapuskasing or Hearst?

The answer is no, there is a lot of great communities within a 50Km radius, if you prefer a quieter lifestyle, there are great options.
